Tie Talk -
The NTTC Community

A fortnightly live clinical discussion for practitioners who work with tongue tie patients โ€” across every discipline. Facilitated by Kate and Justin Roche from the National Tongue Tie Centre, Clonmel.

What Tie Talk is

Peer discussion that drives practice forward

Tongue tie is not a condition that belongs to one profession. The practitioners who do it best are those who understand it across disciplines โ€” who know what the surgeon is seeing, what the physiotherapist is treating, and what the lactation consultant is supporting, all in the same patient.

Tie Talk is built around that reality. Fortnightly sessions bring practitioners from across the clinical spectrum โ€” surgeons, therapists, lactation consultants, and primary care clinicians โ€” into the same conversation, working through real cases with Kate and Justin Roche as facilitators.

It is not a webinar series. It is not a passive learning environment. It is a working peer group for clinicians who take this area seriously.

Fortnightly live sessions

Every two weeks, live. Kate and Justin present a case or clinical theme, the group discusses, questions are taken throughout. Both Alliance and Elite members attend live sessions and can ask questions in real time.

Elite only

The full recording back catalogue is available exclusively to Elite members. Every session recorded since Tie Talk began โ€” available to watch at any time, as many times as you like.

Who joins Tie Talk

Practitioners from every discipline

The multidisciplinary mix of Tie Talk is not incidental โ€” it is what makes the discussion clinically valuable. A case that looks straightforward from one professional perspective often looks quite different from another.

Why it works

The value of the multidisciplinary conversation

When a lactation consultant, a physiotherapist, and a surgeon discuss the same case, they bring genuinely different clinical observations. The lactation consultant notices the feeding pattern. The physiotherapist notices the compensatory tension. The surgeon notices the functional restriction. Together, they see the full picture.

This is what Tie Talk is designed to facilitate. Not a lecture, not a monologue โ€” a structured clinical conversation across disciplines, anchored in real cases from the NTTC's current practice.

The practitioners who will benefit most are those who are already clinically competent and want to keep developing โ€” and who recognise that the most valuable development happens in dialogue with peers, not in isolation.

Questions

Before you join

How often do sessions run?
Sessions are fortnightly โ€” every two weeks. You will receive joining details ahead of each session. If you cannot attend live, Elite members can access the recording at any time afterwards.
What is the difference between Alliance and Elite?
Both tiers include access to every live fortnightly session and full Q&A participation. Elite additionally includes the full recording back catalogue, ongoing access to any purchased course while your membership is active, a 20% discount on all Toolbox courses, and priority case submission. Alliance is free with no time commitment.
Can I upgrade from Alliance to Elite at any time?
Yes. If you join Alliance and decide you want Elite access, you can upgrade at any time. Your recording back catalogue access starts from the moment your Elite membership becomes active.
I'm not primarily a tongue tie practitioner โ€” is Tie Talk still relevant?
Yes, if you encounter tongue tie presentations in your work. Many Tie Talk members work in general practice, primary care, or paediatric settings where tongue tie is part of โ€” but not the whole of โ€” their caseload. The sessions are designed to be accessible regardless of how frequently you see these patients.
What format do sessions take?
Each session is a live video call. Kate and Justin open with a case or clinical theme, present the relevant clinical detail, and facilitate open discussion with attendees. Questions can be asked throughout. Sessions typically run 45 to 60 minutes.
Can I cancel my Elite subscription?
Monthly Elite subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. There is no minimum term. If you cancel, your access to recordings and extended course access ends at the end of your current billing period. Standard 8-week course access terms then apply to any courses you have purchased.
